San Diego, California
March 12-13, 2012
Remote participation instructions
The slides will be streamed using ReadyTalk. To view the presentation slides using ReadyTalk
web conferencing:
- Slides
- Open a browser window and connect to: http:/esnet.readytalk.com
- In the "Join a Meeting" window, type the Access Code: 2705718
and click "Join".
- Note that you should be able to ask questions via the chat window even
if you are not using one of the two-way audio methods described below.
We will also use the "Raise Hand" feature to keep track of questions.
- Audio and video
- We will use both ReadyTalk audio and ESnet/H.323 audio/video. Use only
one of these! The audio from both will be linked together, so using
both simultaneously would probably have undesirable consequences.
- ReadyTalk audio only (two-way audio, no video):
Dial TOLL-FREE telephone in the U.S. and Canada: (866) 740-1260.
When prompted, enter the Access Code 2705718 followed by the # key.
When connected to the conference please MUTE your phone by pressing *6.
To talk, UNMUTE your phone by pressing *7. All audience members will hear you.
- You may see and hear (one-way only; nobody will hear you) the
presenters using only web browser connections:
- Use a web browser to connect to: http://mcusd1.es.net/streaming.html
- Mac users: FireFox recommended. Safari may have problems
- Sign-in name: <---- please type your name
- Conference ID: 411411

- Streaming rate: choose QuickTime or Real Player, depending on which of
those programs is installed on your computer. IMPORTANT NOTE:
- RealPlayer is highly recommended due to current difficulties with
QuickTime streaming.
- Click "Stream this conference". If you see "invalid ID" then the
conference has not yet started; try again in a few minutes.
- You may also use H.323 audio/video via the ESnet bridge to establish a
two-way connection (note that the ESnet bridge has limited capacity,
and we may not be able to offer this for general participation in the
future if we get too close to the limit). Please use conference ID
85411411.
