The Directorate acts to facilitate definition, participation, and execution of BP research activities.

In its role of facilitating the research activities of the BPO, the Directorate includes the Research Committee, which is comprised of the Topical Group leaders. Details of Research Committee organization and activities are on the Topical Groups page.
